Eder Santos is a plant breeder with over 20 years’ experience, predominately in sugarcane. His career spans multiple crops and geographies, with extensive experience leading complex breeding programs and multidisciplinary teams.

Eder has led the implementation of fast-tracking breeding methodologies in different crops and the establishment of one of the world’s most advanced breeding and research centres in Brazil. Over his career, he has contributed to the development of numerous high-impact varieties. Currently, within SRA, Eder holds the position of Senior Variety Development Manager for the Northern regions (Meringa, Herbert, and Burdekin).
