Sugar Research Australia (SRA) is the leading research organisation dedicated to supporting the Australian sugarcane industry. Through collaborative research and innovation, SRA aims to improve productivity, profitability, and sustainability for sugarcane growers and millers.
The Australian sugarcane industry is mainly located along Australia’s north-eastern coastline, from Mossman in Far North Queensland down to Grafton in northern New South Wales. Sugar production is one of Australia’s largest rural industries. 95% of raw sugar is produced in Qld and 5% in NSW.
