Alison Jensen began her career in sugarcane when she started work at BSES, and later SRA, for 14 years.  Alison then worked as a Research Officer for CQUniversity’s Institute for Future Farming Systems. She began her second term at SRA in October 2025 as a Plant Breeder in Bundaberg.

Alison is most passionate about working on sugarcane variety disease resistance, working together with industry, improving data capture and analysis, and new technologies.
