Course Participants will:
– Identify endemic sugarcane diseases
– Take an active part in workshops and group activities
– Field walks to inspect Fiji leaf gall, lead scald, smut and mosaic variety screening trials
– Hands-on demonstrations of diagnosis of RSD, nematodes and fungal diseases
– Workshops on exotic pests and diseases and preparedness for incursions
– Receive a Certificate of Attendance on completion
The two-day Disease Identification Course at SRA Woodford Station in 2026 will be run for two groups over different dates:
