These sessions held across all districts in March 2026, are a key opportunity for growers, millers and other stakeholders to receive an update on topical research initiatives for the district and have a say in the proposed strategic direction for SRA over the next five years.
The industry research updates will include:
• Beyond Imidacloprid and Canegrub Volatiles – Dr Samuel Bawa, Entomologist
• Soldier Fly – Dr Emtia Chandrima, Entomologist
• Fusarium Wilt in SRA21, 22, 26 – Dr Shamsul Bhuiyan, Biosecurity and Disease Screening Manager
• Weed research updates, Paraquat review update, MCPA permit update – Emilie Fillols, Weed Science Leader
• Translation research team update – Dr Barry Salter, Translation Research Manager
The strategic plan consultation session will be facilitated by R&D strategy expert, Mr Andrew Baxter.
