Visu is a qualified Agricultural Science professional and Commercial Laboratory Manager with over 20 years of experience in the agriculture sector.
An award-winning Tissue Culture Laboratory Manager, she has been internationally recognised for managing the best tissue culture laboratory in Southeast Asia. Her extensive career spans private organisations, universities, and research institutions across Australia and overseas, providing her with in-depth expertise in plant tissue culture for a diverse range of crops, including ornamental plants, Australian native species, banana, and sugarcane.
In addition to her scientific and technical expertise, Visu holds qualifications and experience in business management, leadership, human resources, and accounting that underpin her ability to effectively lead and manage tissue culture programmes. Currently, Visu manages the Tissue Culture Program at SRA, ensuring the efficient production and supply of high-quality, disease free uniform sugarcane tissue culture plants to the sugarcane industry.
