Simon joined SRA as an environmental sustainability scientist in early 2023. He has a PhD in the geosciences and more than 20 years of experience as a research scientist. He has published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. Collectively, these have been cited over 1200 times.

Simon brings to SRA a background in applied plant physiology and life cycle assessment. Before joining SRA, he worked as an environmental consultant for Australian agri-food and fibre industries to deliver positive outcomes for their businesses and the environment. He now develops and manages our growing portfolio of projects that deliver productivity improvements with environmental co-benefits.
