Based at SRA’s Meringa Station, Paul has vast knowledge of the Far North region for local sugarcane growers.

Paul has a strong background in agriculture, and with SRA, having worked as District Delivery Officer, Far North, from 2021-2024. He first joined SRA in 2019, undertaking a traineeship at the Meringa Station, before taking on the role of Adoption Officer, Nutrient Management Planning, also based at Meringa from 2020-2021. As District Delivery Officer, Paul worked alongside the District Manager to assist in the development and implementation of the district productivity plan in collaboration with growers and industry stakeholders. His most recent role was Senior Agricultural Officer with the Queensland Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation in Cairns, where he worked across a range of primary industries – including sugarcane – since 2024.

In his role as SRA District Manager, Far North, Paul covers the Meringa, Gordonvale, Tableland, Babinda, South Johnstone and Innisfail regions.
