Chris started off working as a cytogenetic technician with SRA on a project aiming to enhance sugarcane varieties by exploiting Erianthus diversity. For the last two years, Chris has taken on the role of Variety Officer in the Plant Breeding program. His main responsibility is to manage the Final Assessment Trials planted on growers’ farms throughout the Central region to identify varieties with potential for release.
