Anthony began working in the sugarcane industry for BSES in 1995 at Meringa. Initially he worked seasonally for plant breeding, then in weevil borer and cane grub projects.
In 1998 Anthony moved to NSW to manage the NSW plant breeding operation, working closely with the Southern plant breeding team and the NSW industry.
