Dr Lynne McIntyre is passionate about Australian agriculture and its importance to all Australians and to global food security. A plant geneticist by training, she has more than three decades of experience as a scientist and as a research manager and leader, specialising in crop improvement of Australia’s major crops.
Lynne has more than 25 years’ experience with the Australian sugarcane industry, as a CSIRO scientist and research manager/leader, including working with BSES Ltd and SRDC to establish DNA marker technology for sugarcane breeding.
In addition, Lynne has extensive experience on funding and planning committees, panels and advisory Boards, nationally and internationally. She has published 135+ research papers and is a journal editor for several international journals.
Lynne recently left CSIRO and is now an independent advisor.
