Dr Graeme Doole commenced as General Manager – Adoption at Sugar Research Australia in January 2026.He is pleased to join SRA and work with the team to deliver tangible productivity, profitability, and sustainability outcomes for the sugarcane sector.
Throughout his career, Graeme has focused on driving behaviour change across industries, with particular emphasis on supporting the large-scale uptake of innovative solutions.
His previous senior roles include Economic Advisor to the Ministry for the Environment, Professor of Environmental Economics at the University of Waikato, Chief Economist for New Zealand’s dairy sector levy organisation, and Science Group Manager leading more than 120 scientists at a public research institution in New Zealand.
Graeme holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Natural Resource Management) and a Master of Applied Economics from Massey University. He was awarded a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics, with Distinction, from the University of Western Australia.
