Online Training

SRA’s free online courses are a useful way for busy sugarcane growers to refresh or up-skill their knowledge.

Our online training courses are free for Australian sugar cane growers and accessible at a convenient time through SRA’s Learning Management System platform. SRA will continue to run in-person courses but we’d like to encourage growers who find it hard to get to these that we offer alternative courses online as displayed on this page. View the courses available below:

  • Understand how pre-emergent and post-emergence herbicides work.
  • Be able to make better weed management decisions for a particular weed / crop scenario.

Harvest Mate Introductory Course & Guide

The Harvest Mate app has been designed to help Australian sugarcane growers and harvesting contractors assess if there is economic benefit in changing equipment settings by exploring comparative scenarios. Data is entered into the tool by harvesting contractors which then Harvest Mate algorithms are used to predict whether a change in settings/practices could result in a net benefit to the grower.

  • This introductory course and guide will help growers gain a better understanding of the Harvest Mate tool and enable them to better use the tool for their requirements.
