District Strategy Plan Consultations underway. Industry invited to shape the SRA 2026–2031 Strategic Plan.

Sugar Research Australia (SRA) has launched an industry-wide series of strategic consultation events this week, giving cane growers, millers and all stakeholders the opportunity to directly influence the SRA Strategic Plan 2026–2031.

The roadshow will visit every cane-growing district in March, with sessions designed to capture local insights, regional priorities and emerging challenges across the industry. The consultations represent one of the most significant opportunities for stakeholders to contribute to SRA’s long term investment direction and research priorities.

SRA CEO Mick Bartlett said the organisation is committed to ensuring the next Strategic Plan reflects the real needs of growers and millers across the value chain.

Each session will be facilitated by R&D strategy specialist, Mr Andrew Baxter, who brings extensive experience in organisational strategy and stakeholder engagement. These sessions are designed to be interactive, forward looking and grounded in the realities of each district.

Participants will take part in:
• Discussion on industry trends, risks and growth opportunities
• Idea generation for a new SRA strategic direction
• Open forums for feedback and regional perspectives. SRA Roadshow Schedule
