Terms and Conditions: Sugar Snaps photo competition

This photography competition (“Sugar Snaps”) is conducted by Sugar Research Australia Limited (“SRA”) (ABN 16 163 670 068).

The Sugar Snaps photo competition is open to any Australian citizen submitting an entry depicting the Australian sugarcane industry. Entries will be accepted until midnight on Friday September 27, 2019.

Images must be supplied as a high resolution JPEG or JPG file to the email address photocomp@sugarresearch.com.au.

Your entry must by an original photograph by you as the entrant. It must not contain any trademarks or copyright material owed whole or in part by a third party or violate any persons’ rights of privacy. It must not plagiarise the work of another person.

Where there is an identifiable person in an image submitted, it is the responsibility of the photographer to ensure that person agrees to have their photo published in any way related to this competition.

Winners will be selected by an independent judging panel. All entries will be assessed fairly and equally and there is no chance involved in this competition. Winners will be notified via email within two months of the closing date of the competition. No correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not transferable for cash.

Employees or relatives of staff of Sugar Research Australia, Farmacist, Mackay Area Productivity Services, Herbert Cane Productivity Services Ltd and the Queensland Government Department of Environment and Science (DES) are not eligible to submit entries.

Any personal information collected as part of the competition will conform with the SRA Privacy Policy, which is available on the SRA website, www.sugarresearch.com.au.

Successful winners will be notified via email by October 31, 2019. Prizes will be posted to each winner’s nominated postal address.

While copyright remains with the author of the photograph, by entering these awards, you grant SRA and Farmacist the permission to publish your photograph in a range of media including social and online media, hardcopy publications, and a proposed shed calendar. Any use of the image will acknowledge the photographer. SRA is under no obligation to use or publish any entry to the competition, including winning entries.

You are able to submit a maximum of 10 entries to the competition.
