SRA will launch a new magazine in April called Cane Matters.
Head of Industry Communications and Marketing Cathy Weis said the new magazine would combine the former Milling Matters and CaneConnection publications into a single quarterly edition.
“While combining the titles of the current publications, the proposed name represents a strong statement on the importance of the sugarcane industry to regional communities and economies – Cane Matters,” Cathy said.
“We’re working hard to improve our communications and engagement and are listening to feedback from industry,” Cathy said.
“Through our engagement, we’ve heard there’s a ‘disconnect’ across the industry about the challenges each part of the supply chain is trying to address, why those problems matter, and how SRA is contributing to the solutions through research. We want to be more effective and provide broader visibility of research across the whole industry.”
Cane Matters will be released in both hard copy and electronically, recognising changing reader preferences across the industry.
If you’d like to update your subscriber preferences from receiving a posted hard copy magazine to electronic release, please contact us at SRA@sugarresearch.com.au and provide your details. The electronic release will generally be available up to a week or two before the printed magazine since it doesn’t need to go through printing and mail house distribution.
